Stringfellow Declares for NFL Draft
Dec. 5, 2016

OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow announced Monday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the upcoming 2017 National Football League Draft.

"I cannot begin to express to Rebel Nation what an honor and privilege these last three years have been putting on the Ole Miss jersey each Saturday," Stringfellow said. "The fans' endless support, both on and off the field, has allowed me to grow and develop into the athlete and man that I am today.

"In that light, after much reflection and prayer, it pleases and saddens me to announce that I have decided to forgo my senior year and declare for the 2017 NFL Draft to pursue my dream of playing on Sundays. I would like to thank my family, coaches, professors and most of all the fans that have given me the love, courage and much needed prayer to go out and make Oxford proud. I truly would not have this amazing opportunity without you."

"I am grateful to Damore'ea for his commitment to our program," said Rebel head coach Hugh Freeze. "He has a tremendous opportunity, and we are excited for him to enter the next phase of his life. We look forward to seeing another Rebel receiver in the NFL."

A 6-foot-2, 219-pounder from Perris, California, Stringfellow totaled 82 receptions for 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns during his two seasons at Ole Miss.

As a junior this fall, Stringfellow ranks top-10 in the SEC with 59.7 receiving yards per game. He finished the year with 46 grabs for 716 yards and six TDs. In his first season on the field for the Rebels in 2015, Stringfellow amassed 36 catches for 503 and five scores in helping Ole Miss to a Sugar Bowl win.

A 2012 Under Armour All-America selection at Rancho Verde High School, Stringfellow arrived in Oxford after spending his freshman campaign at the University of Washington. He collected 20 catches for 259 yards and a touchdown in his lone season with the Huskies in 2013.

Ole Miss has four wide receivers on current NFL rosters, including Cody Core (Bengals), Donte Moncrief (Colts), Laquon Treadwell (Vikings) and Mike Wallace (Ravens).
