CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - Freshman Ben Wolcott led the Ole Miss men’s golf team with a 2-over par 73 on the final day of the Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate hosted by Southern Methodist University Tuesday.

Wolcott, who started the day tied for 19th place, finished the tournament in a tie for 18th, posting a three-round total of 220.

Junior Blake Morris, who tied for 29th overall, carded a three-round score of 223.

"We didn't play well this week," head coach Ernest Ross said. "It was a tough course, but no one had a round under par. I do know they can play this type of course. They've proven it in the past. We didn't drive it well enough or putt as well as we know we can. We also need t adjust our mindset to believe we belong with the top teams."

Ole Miss finished in 10th place with a team score of 46-over par 898. No. 11 Houston won the tournament, carding an 11-over par 863.

Sophomore Forrest Gamble tied for 39th place, firing an even-par 71 in the final round. Junior Joe Lewis posted a three-round score of 230 and tied for 52nd place. Sophomore Conner Davis finished the tournament in 68th place.

The Rebels will be back in action on Mar. 14 at the Chris Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga.
