STATESBORO, Ga. - The Rebels finished up the Schenkel Invitational Sunday, in a tie for 9th after shooting 11 over par in the final round.

Ole Miss was led by junior Tom Brown who tied for 22nd, after shooting a career low round of 67 in the second round.  He finished with a 76-67-77 -- 220.  Sophomore Joe Lewis tied for 27th with a 74-72-75 -- 221 after paring the back nine of the final round.  Blake Morris fell to tie 40th after finishing the final day 5 over par.  Redshirt freshman Chris Ingham carded a 75-79-73 -- 227 to move up to tie 54th in his first appearance as a Rebel, while freshman Forrest Gamble rounded out the Ole Miss starting five finishing with an 81-82-74 -- 237 to place 81st.

"We played well at times, but didn't finish well on the last three holes.  There were some tough pins, and the course was a real challenge today," head coach Ernest Ross said.

"I am proud of Chris and Forrest for good rounds today.  It was good to see them rebound.  We have some improving to do," said Ross.

No. 4 Alabama took home the win by 10 strokes over No. 6 Texas.  The Crimson Tide were led by Justin Thomas who carded a 67-70-70 --- 207 to claim the 1st place title.

The Rebels now look forward to hosting their home tournament, the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate in Madison, Miss. April 1-2.
