AUBURN, Ala. - Strong performances all around helped push the Ole Miss men's golf team into sixth place after the first round of competition at the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate with a score of 294.

The Rebels saw four golfers finish in the top 25 of the day at the tournament, which is being played at the Saugahatchee Country Club on a par-72, 6,689-yard course.

Jordan Dempsey and Tommy Clement tied for 14th overall as both golfers fired a 1-over par score of 73 for the day. Jarrod Gardner and Ben Lowery both finished tied for 22nd with scores of 74 for the round. Andrew Medley rounded out the scoring with a 76 for the day to tie for 44th.

The Rebels will continue play Saturday at 7:30 a.m. before concluding play in the third and final round on Sunday.
