ATHENS, Ga.--Ole Miss golfer Haymes Snedeker followed his first-round 68 with a 73
in round two of the SEC Men's Golf Championships on Saturday and is tied for fifth place, and
the Rebels are in seventh place with a 584 total.
Georgia still leads the tournament with a 283-284--567 but is only one stroke ahead of
South Carolina, which fired a 280 in the second round. Defending SEC champion Mississippi
State shot a 284 to move up from seventh place to third with a 578. Ole Miss was in fourth place
after the first round with a 289 but shot a 295 in the second round to drop to seventh.
Eric Ecker of South Carolina fired a second-round 66 to move into first place with a two-day total of 136. Snedeker, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., led the individuals after one round but
is now tied with Jeremy Parrott of Georgia with a 141.
Phil Caravia, a freshman from Belleville, Ill., followed his career-low 71 with a 74 and is
tied for 17th with a 145. Matt Armstrong, a senior from Paducah, Ky., is tied for 21st with a 73-73--146.
Senior Lane Pippin of Ocean Springs, Miss., is tied for 47th with a 77-75--152, and
sophomore Danny Sanford of Scottsdale, Ariz., is tied for 54th with a 79-76--155.
Ole Miss will play the final 18 holes of the SEC Championships at the University of
Georgia Golf Course on Sunday.
