SEA ISLAND, Ga. -- Senior Billy Brozovich fired an even-par 70 to lead the Ole Miss men's golf team in the second round of the SEC Championship at the Sea Island Golf Club on Saturday.
The Rebels shot a 285 for the day, moving up two spots to sixth place in the team standings.
No. 8 Alabama shot a 274, stretching its lead to 10 strokes over No. 2 Auburn and No. 25 Georgia.
Brozovich was very consistent on Saturday, as the senior bogeyed just two holes and made up for those with birdies on the 13th and 17th. Brozovich moved into a tie for 23rd place in the individual standings.
Blake Morris repeated Friday's 71 with another 1-over round on Saturday. Morris converted three birdies, including two in his final nine, and is currently tied with Brozovich at 2-over for the tournament.
Tom Brown birdied three of his five opening holes to match Morris' 71 and move into a tie with teammate Joe David for 32nd.
The Rebels will close out play in the SEC Championship on Sunday with the third and final round. Fans can follow along with live stats at www.OleMissSports.com. You can also follow the Rebels on twitter at @OleMissMGolf and on facebook at www.facebook.com/OleMissMGolf.
