ATLANTA, Ga. – The Ole Miss men’s golf team finished play at the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State at the Berkeley Hills Country Club.

The Rebels were led by sophomore Connor Davis, who finished tied for 21st with a three-round total of 216, which tied his career-low tournament total.

“We didn’t play at all up to our expectations,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “We hit a few bad shots, and we got too many negative emotions going. You can’t do that and play good golf. We played the first two rounds, but struggled again in the last round. We will keep searching for ways to get better.”

Ole Miss finished in 10th with a team score of 5-over 869. Host team Georgia State won the tournament, carding a 19-under 845.

Junior Joe Lewis, freshman Ben Wolcott and sophomore Forrest Gamble, who competed as an individual, finished the tournament in a tie for 30th, each firing a three-round total of 2-over 218. Junior Blake Morris and freshman Noah West tied for 54th, carding totals of 222.

The Rebels will return to action at the Warrior Princeville Intercollegiate in Makai, Hawaii beginning Nov. 4.
