Greensboro, N.C. – Sophomore Blake Morris carded an even-par 72 in the final round of the Bridgestone Collegiate hosted by UNC –Greensboro on Sunday to finish in a tie for third overall and help Ole Miss to a fourth-place team finish.
Morris carded three birdies in the final round at the Grandover Resort en route to his fourth top-five finish of the fall. The Rebels finished tied for fourth in the team standings with Virginia Tech with a three-round total of 886. It also marked Ole Miss’ fourth top-five team finish of the fall.
“Blake had another good tournament,” said Ole Miss head coach Ernest Ross. “I am really proud of him. It was cool and windy again, and we let the conditions beat us down at time. I see a lot of room for improvement.”
Junior Tom Brown recorded his fourth top-20 finished of the fall after firing 1-over par 73 in the final round to finish in a tie for 15th. Sophomore Joe Lewis carded an 80 in the final round to finish in a tie for 45th with freshman Forrest Gamble, who turned in an 81 on Sunday. Fellow freshman Connor Davis fired a 77 in the final round to finish in a tie for 50th.
