BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss junior golfer Jonathan Randolph has been named to the All-SEC first team while Pete Kellermann and Tom Brown were named to the All-Freshman Team as the conference yearly awards were announced Tuesday.

Randolph, a native of Brandon, Miss., becomes the fourth player since head coach Ernest Ross returned to the program (in 2004), to earn All-SEC first or second team honors.  Ross has coached 14 players to All-SEC honors during his career.

Recently selected to represent the United States in the Palmer Cup, Randolph led the SEC in stroke average all season with a 70.52.   He won three times this year, including twice this spring.  Randolph has seven-top five and eight top-10 finishes in 11 tournaments this year.

Randolph has 12 rounds in the 60s and 25 rounds at or under par this year.  He is also on par to break the school record for lowest stroke average in a season.

"We are very proud of Jonathan for having an outstanding year and earning All-SEC first team honors," head coach Ernest Ross said.

Brown, a native of Hertfordshire, England, made the lineup in every tournament this year and earned seventh at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate for his best finish.  Kellermann, who hails from Jacksonville, Fla., made his debut this spring and played in every event.  He tied for seventh at the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate for his best finish.

"We are excited for Pete and Tom to make freshman All-SEC.  They both deserved it and are great newcomers on our team," Ross said.   "It's a credit to Pete and Tom to make the lineup at an SEC school."

All three honorees helped lead Ole Miss to five consecutive top-five finishes this spring, including their best finish at the SEC Championship (2nd) since 1988.

The Rebels are expected to earn their fourth straight NCAA Regional appearance.  The selections will be revealed May 10.
