NORMAN, Okla. - For the second-straight year, Ole Miss men's golfer Tom Brown was among 152 Division I players to be named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Wednesday.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum of cumulative grade point average of 3.2.
A native of Hertfordshire, England, Brown holds a 3.59 GPA in Exercise Science. He competed in all 10 tournaments in 2012-13 for the Rebels and finished second on the squad with a 74.00 stroke average. He also shot a career-low 67 at the Chris Schenkel Invitational and posted four top-20 finishes.
Off the course, Brown made the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time and the Dean's List.
