Rebels Head to Collegiate Classic

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss men’s golf team will travel to Atlanta, Ga., Monday for the Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State at Berkeley Hills Country Club.

The two-day tournament features a field that includethe host Panthers, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Furman, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, Mercer, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Alabama, USF, Troy, UNC Greensboro, USC Aiken and VCU.

The Rebel lineup will consist of junior Blake Morris, freshman Noah West, junior Joe Lewis, freshman Ben Wolcott and sophomore Connor Davis, while sophomore Forrest Gamble will compete as an individual.

“I am encouraged by the excellent play of Noah West,” head coach Ernest Ross said. He is playing great right now. Our focus this week will be a positive and confident mindset. We are ready for the challenge.”

Morris, a native of Waterbury, Conn., has posted strong finishes in the first three tournaments this season, including capturing his first individual title at the Shoal Creek Invitational on Oct. 1.
