Rebel Golfers To Conclude Fall At Bank of Tennessee The Ole Miss men's golf team will conclude the fall this weekend at the 11th annual Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.
OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss men’s golf team will conclude the fall this weekend at the 11th annual Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.
This year, 14 of the nation’s top teams will descend on The Ridges for the three-day event Oct. 24-26. Along with Missouri, Ole Miss and Ohio State all of which are teams making their first-ever appearances in the event the field features six squads that were ranked in the national preseason Top 25. In addition to Ole Miss, who has been ranked as high as No. 11, the field includes host ETSU, Tennessee, Ohio State, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Auburn and UAB.
“This is another strong field and a great opportunity for our team,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “We haven’t been consistent through five players lately, but our guys are working hard to correct the errors. We were very pleased with the play of our two freshmen at the last tournament, and are happy with the three other guys that qualified (for this tournament).”
Both freshmen Joe David and Sean Dale earned top 10 finishes at the Squire Creek Invitational. David tied for second and just missed his first win by one shot, while Dale earned his second straight top 10, tying for sixth. Both lead the Rebels in stroke average as David owns a 72.25 and Dale boasts a 72.64.
Joining the freshmen this weekend will be senior Stefan Strandlund, junior Will Roebuck and sophomore Jonathan Randolph.
