JACKSON, Miss. - When golf fans from the Magnolia State converge on the Country Club of Jackson for this week's Sanderson Farms Championship, an annual stop for the PGA Tour, they'll see a pair of Rebels teeing it up.

Alongside Tour regular Jonathan Randolph, a 2011 graduate of Ole Miss, recent Rebel alum Ben Wolcott will make his debut and compete against some of the best golfers in the world. Wolcott, a four-year letterman who earned his business degree from Ole Miss over the summer, received a sponsor's exemption from Sanderson Farms to compete in the tournament.

The tournament will be contested at the Country Club of Jackson, a par 72 measuring 7,421 yards, in Mississippi's capital city. Wolcott's tee time is set for 8:44 a.m. CT Thursday off No. 10, while Randolph tees off at 8:54 a.m. on Hole 1. For Friday's second round, Wolcott will begin play off the opening hole at 1:19 p.m., and Randolph will follow at 1:29 off the back nine.

While he already tested his skills in the professional ranks by earning a spot in a Web.Com Tour event earlier this year (News Sentinel Open in Knoxville, Tennessee), Wolcott will become the third Rebel to play on the PGA Tour during the 2017 calendar year. Randolph competed throughout the season and earned $511,032 which included a top-10 finish (T8) at the Wells Fargo Championship. Braden Thornberry, current Rebel and reigning NCAA National Champion, posted a top-five finish in his PGA Tour debut at the FedEx St. Jude Classic before competing in The Greenbrier Classic as well.

Wolcott wrapped up his collegiate career this past season and helped lead the Rebels to their first NCAA Championships appearance since 2001. Finishing the season ranked No. 66 by Golfweek.com, he earned PING Southeast All-Region and second team All-SEC honors by winning two tournaments and holding the second-best stroke average on the team (71.39). The Dickson, Tennessee, native shot a 70-70-67--210 to win the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic and also lead the Rebels to the team tournament title before capturing medalist honors at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate with a career-low 209 (67-68-69). During his time as a Rebel, Wolcott registered seven top-five finishes as part of his nine top-10 showings. Throughout his career, he placed in the top 20 of half the tournaments he competed in (23-of-46).
