Perfect Sunday For Lindmark
Stefan Lindmark

Sept. 29, 2013

TULSA, Okla. - If there is such a thing as perfection, Ole Miss men's tennis sophomore Stefan Lindmark achieved it Sunday, posting a double bagel in both of his matches to advance to the final round of prequalifying at the Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships.

In the second round, the Stockholm, Sweden native defeated Michael Sosnowski of Oral Roberts 6-0, 6-0 and then did the same to Ilija Cuic of Wichita State.  Lindmark, who is seeded No. 5 in the draw, will face Marc Hermann of Nebraska Monday at 9 a.m. in the final round of prequalifying.

Oxford native Zach Wilder lost a tough three-setter in the second round to South Florida's Federico Sabogal, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

With his two wins on Sunday, Lindmark improved to 4-1 on the year.  Lindmark seeks to join teammate William Kallberg, who is already in the qualifying tournament.  Kallberg will face Sudanwa Sitaram of Texas in the first round of qualifying Monday.

Both Lindmark and Kallberg are looking to join two-time All-American Nik Scholtz in the main draw, which starts Thursday.
