Rebels Advance At USTA Players' Choice Open Kallberg, Lindmark And Wilder Into Third Round Of Qualifying

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Rebels continued play at the USTA Players’ Choice Open Saturday, with William Kallberg, Stefan Lindmark and Zach Wilder all three advancing to the third round of qualifying at the Highland Park Tennis Center.
Kallberg beat Eduardo Rodriguez of Columbia 6-2, 6-4 in the second round. He will face Walker Duncan of the United States in the third round.
Lindmark defeated Vikram Hundal (USA) 6-3, 6-4 and will meet Patrick Daciek of USA in the third round.
Wilder downed Brandon Christopher (USA) 6-1, 6-0 in the second round and will play UAB’s Chris Helliar, who reached the semifinals at last weekend’s USTA/ITA Southern Regionals, in the third round.
All three Rebels are looking to join teammate Nik Scholtz in next week’s main draw. Scholtz earned an automatic spot in the main draw based on his ATP ranking of 651.
