OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss men’s tennis team will close out the regular season home schedule this week, hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.  The Rebels will take on Texas A&M on Friday and Alcorn State on Sunday.

The Rebels are looking to snap a three-match losing streak after two tough losses on the road in SEC play last weekend.  Nik Scholtz was the lone winner in Sunday’s loss at No. 15 Florida, picking up his 60th career victory to improve to 10-1 at No. 1 singles, 5-1 in the SEC.

“We are looking forward to this series of matches and the opportunity of playing at home,” head coach Billy Chadwick said.  “The team is improving with each match and we are looking to finish strong and carry the momentum into the SEC Tournament.”

The team will celebrate Senior Day, as they honor the lone senior, Johan Backstrom, on Friday against the No. 10 ranked Texas A&M Aggies.   It will also be a special day for fans to celebrate the career of head coach Billy Chadwick who will coach his final SEC match at the tennis center Friday.  Fans coming to the match will receive a commemorative Billy Chadwick collector’s cup.

Admission to all home matches is free.
