OXFORD, Miss. -- Rebel fans are invited to the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center Tuesday, April 30 to join the Ole Miss men’s and women’s tennis teams for the NCAA Championships Selection Show.
The 64-team brackets and 16 regional host sites will be announced beginning with the men at 4 p.m., followed by the women at 4:30 p.m.
The Rebel men are currently ranked No. 7 in the nation and won their 10th SEC Western Division Championship this season. They are led by All-SEC honorees Nik Scholtz, Jonas Lutjen and William Kallberg.
“It’s been an excellent year winning the SEC West Championship and staying up in the top 10 of the national rankings,” head coach Billy Chadwick said. “This puts us in a very strong position to host the first and second rounds for the 11th time.”
The Rebel women are expected to earn their fifth consecutive NCAA bid under head coach Mark Beyers. They are led by two-time All-SEC honoree Caroline Rohde-Moe.
The NCAA first and second rounds will take place May 10-12 at various sites across the country, with the Final 16 to be held in Champaign, Ill., May 16-21.
