Rebs on Tour Update: 6.19

Stay up to date at with former players who are currently playing professional tennis around the world. This week's update features another singles title for Nik Scholtz

Scholtz back in the winner’s circle…
Scholtz kicked off his stay in Zimbabwe with his third singles title this year and 10th of his career. The four-time All-American for the Rebels won four tiebreakers and a couple of three-setters on his way to the title, including a come-from-behind win in the final against Lucas Catarina of Monaco. After dropping the first set to Catarina, 6-2, Scholtz won the second set 6-3 and then dominated the third 6-0. 

In addition to winning the singles, Scholtz reached the doubles final with his partner, Mark Fynn (Zimbabwe), before falling to the top seed.

Scholtz continues in Zimbabwe this week playing both singles and doubles again with Fynn. They get started Tuesday in doubles. 

Lutjen competing in Germany… 
Two-time All-American Jonas Lutjen is in action this week at the Germany Futures in Kaltenkirchen. He is the No. 5 seed and will face a qualifier in the first round. Lutjen is also seeded No. 2 in doubles with fellow countryman George von Massow.
