COLUMBIA, Mo. - In recognition of their good works in the community, Ole Miss seniors Neal Tisher and Isiah Young have been named to the 2013 Southeastern Conference Community Service Teams for women's and men's track and field, respectively.

The Rebels' school-record indoor and outdoor women's pole vaulter, Tisher has been a fundraising volunteer at St. Jude Hospital, where she has participated in a letter-writing campaign and "Pancakes for Kids." The psychology major from Mobile, Ala., has participated in both the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and the Out of Darkness Suicide Awareness Walk. Tisher has been an active participant in "Reading with the Rebels," a program in which Ole Miss athletes read and mentor local elementary school students. She has spoken to third graders about the importance of exercise and good nutrition and has served as a volunteer coach for Vault Birmingham. A three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic, she is a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she served as a Panhellenic Delegate in 2010-11 and a housing manager in 2011-12.

A 2012 London Olympian and the reigning SEC 200-meter outdoor champion, Young is active in the Oxford community, visiting with school children at a number of local events and after-school programs. The criminal justice major from Junction City, Kan., has participated in the Ole Miss Fall Carnival for Children and has also run the bases with kids following Ole Miss baseball games.

The SEC presents a community service team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight a male and female athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
