C.L. Mullins Athletic Training Room (Wesley "Doc" Knight Field House)

The C.L. Mullins Athletic Training Room is located in the Starnes Athletic Training Center just adjacent to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Field House was named after Wesley "Doc" Knight, the Head Athletic Trainer at Ole Miss during the period of Archie Manning and several Football National Championships. This athletic training room was recently named after the former Director of Sports Medicine, C.L. (Leroy) Mullins who served the University of Mississippi for 25 years.

This facility serves baseball, basketball, golf, rifle, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. In addition, this facility also serves as a fully functional rehabilitation center designed to aid our athletic training staff by providing an additional outlet of care through an onsite physical therapist.

This facility is equipped with an AquaCiser II, Biodex 3 Isokinetic Dynamometer, treadmill, bikes, elliptical, hydrocollator, and a variety of rehabilitation tools. An onsite physical therapistis present daily to provide a high standard of care for long term rehabilitation patients.

This facility has several offices for staff and graduate assistant athletic trainers as well as a physician visitation room.

Indoor Practice Facility Athletic Training Room

This new state of the art facility was completed in September of 2004 and houses the football, men's/women's track & field, and cross country teams. Our Athletic Training room is located in the new Indoor Practice Facility just adjacent to the indoor football field and track. The Indoor Practice Facility is located just adjacent to the Track and Field Complex and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The Indoor Practice Facility Athletic Training room comes equipped with the newest, state of the art equipment including: HydroWorx 2000 Rehabilitation Pool, HydroWorx Thermal Plunge and Polar Plunge pools, KT-1000, treadmill, bikes, elliptical, machine weights, hydrocollator, and several other rehabilitation and treatment tools. By providing the most state of the art equipment our Sports Medicine Staff is able to provide the highest quality health care to our student athletes.

This facility houses offices for the Senior Associate Athletic Director - Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning, Head Athletic Trainer, Secretary, and assistant and graduate assistant athletic trainers responsible for football, track and field, and cross country. The Indoor Practice Facility Athletic Training Room is also equipped with a fully functional physician office and chiropractor/massage therapy room. The staff is very excited about the new facility and the new opportunities for setting a higher standard of health care for our student athletes.

Gillom Sports Center Training Room


 

Tad Smith Coliseum Training Room


The Gillom Center Athletic Training Room is located in the Gillom Sports Complex. This athletic training room serves as a satellite athletic training room for women's soccer, softball, and volleyball. It is conveniently located just adjacent to the Soccer Complex, Softball Complex, and volleyball court. This athletic training room is equipped with a whirlpool, hydrocollator, electrical stimulation units, ultrasound units, and a selection of rehabilitation equipment.

 

The Coliseum Athletic Training Room is located in the Tad Smith Coliseum and is used as a satellite athletic training room for men's and women's basketball. This facility is  located in close proximity to the visiting team locker rooms in Tad Smith. This athletic training room is equipped with a selection of rehabilitation equipment, custom built (8 feet) treatment tables, hydrocullator, stationary bike, and whirlpool.

Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field Training Room

The Baseball Athletic Training Room is located in the Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field and serves only the baseball team. This athletic  training room in located just adjacent to the home locker room along the third base line. This athletic training room is equipped with a stationary bicycle, hydrocollator, and several rehabilitation tools.
