Josh Porter, MS, ATC joined the staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in January 2013. His primary sporting assignment is baseball.
Prior to coming to Ole Miss, Porter spent four seasons (2008-2012) at Appalachian State as the associate head athletic trainer. He worked primarily with baseball and supervised the men's soccer and volleyball intern athletic trainers.
Porter earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master of Science in Athletic Training degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During his time at UNCG, he worked with baseball, softball, wrestling, cross country, and served as the student rehab coordinator.
A native of Corinth, Miss., Porter is a board certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and has certification in CPR/AED and first aid.
Porter and his wife Alice live in Oxford with their daughter Makenzie.
