The New Pavilion at Ole Miss
The centerpiece of the Forward Together campaign is the construction of a brand new state-of-the-art multi-purpose Pavilion. The Pavilion will have a capacity of 9,500 fans and will include a number of first class amenities. The Pavilion will include a private student concourse, courtside and baseline seating for students, three premium club areas for fans, and over 1,700 premium seats all within an intimate seating bowl. The Pavilion will also include a five story parking garage with 800 spaces that will service the entire campus community. The Pavilion will be located on the west side of Vaught Hemingway Stadium in the space currently occupied by the Rebel Shop and the parking lot. The placement of the Pavilion is a long-term decision and will allow us to further enhance our athletics complex - better connecting athletics to the heart of the best campus in higher education. This centralized location will create an impressive "front door" for Ole Miss Athletics and a destination point not only on a game day - but every day of the week.
The Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center
Among the finest facilities in all of college athletics, the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center at Ole Miss is the crown jewel in the growing athletics compound surrounding Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Ole Miss named the facility in honor of the Mannings in 2013, recognizing their extraordinary contributions to the University of Mississippi. The renovation and expansion of the Manning Center was made possible by gifts to the Forward Together Campaign. For more information on the Manning Center, please click here.
Vaught Hemingway Stadium Initiative
As part of the Forward Together campaign, Vaught Hemingway stadium will be expanded and enhanced. The expansion will include the addition of suites and club seats, as well as the bowling in of the north endzone. The goal of the north endzone expansion will be to create an impressive north entry point to Hollingsworth Field - A true connection to the historic Grove as part of our "front door" vision.
While there are many details to complete - we are focused on finishing these projects as soon as possible. The stadium enhancements include improvements to the concourses, concession areas, and restrooms of the stadium. In addition, the premium areas will continue to be improved. The renovation of the sidelines and addition of the field suites has already been completed for the 2013 season. All of these upgrades will be completed to improve the aesthetics of Vaught Hemingway Stadium and enhance the gameday experience for our fans.
Other Facility Initiatives
Other Facility Initiatives include the re-development of the historic Starnes Center, the Gillom Center, the Track & Field complex, and the FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center. As the north endzone complex is finalized, all of these facilities will experience a transformation. More information on these facility projects will be released in the coming months.
