Currie joined the UMAA Foundation as a Development Assistant in May of 2012.

In his current role, Martin is responsible for assisting in the fundraising efforts of major gifts in the Vaught Society.

Prior to Ole Miss, Martin worked at Western Kentucky University as a graduate assistant for then Western Kentucky University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Ross Bjork.

Martin earned his Master of Arts in Economics from the Western Kentucky University where he also earned four varsity letters as a four-year starter on WKU's men's tennis team. Martin earned his undergraduate degrees from Western Kentucky University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics and Marketing. While at WKU, Martin was very active in the Student Government Association, R.U.F., the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity, and served as president of the American Marketing Association.

Currie is the son of Bill and Carol Martin of Oxford, MS.
