Meredith Pendergast, MS, ATC, began her career as an athletic trainer at Ole Miss in 2012. She is responsible for the day-to-day care of the women’s basketball team and oversees the graduate assistant for women’s golf.

Pendergast initially came to Oxford as a graduate assistant athletic trainer, working with the volleyball, women's tennis, and rifle teams. Following that year, she was promoted to assistant athletic trainer for the track and field/cross country teams just before moving into her current role.

Pendergast earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Troy University in 2012. During her time at Troy, she served as an athletic training student for multiple sports teams. Throughout her years as an undergraduate student, she spent her summers employed at Rehab Associates of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Troy, Alabama, as well as a first aider for the Varsity Cheerleading and Dance Corporation.

Prior to Ole Miss, she gained experience in the Southeastern Conference at Vanderbilt University as an intern, working primarily with the Commodores’ football team.

Pendergast earned her master of science in nutrition from the University of Mississippi in 2015.

She is a board certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association and has certifications in CPR/AED.

A native of Wetumpka, Alabama, Pendergast resides in Oxford with her morkie, Otis.
