Meredith Pendergast, ATC, joined the Health and Performance staff in the fall of 2013 as an assistant athletic trainer for the track and field/cross country teams. Prior to her current position, Pendergast spent a year at Ole Miss as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the volleyball, women's tennis, and rifle teams.
Pendergast received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Troy University in May of 2012. During her time at Troy, she served as an athletic training student for multiple sports teams. Prior to graduating from Troy University, Pendergast completed an internship with the Vanderbilt University Sports Medicine department, working primarily with their football team.
Throughout her years as an undergraduate student, Pendergast spent her summers working as a physical therapy tech with Rehab Associates of Wetumpka, Ala., and Troy, Ala., as well as a first aider for the Varsity Cheerleading and Dance Corporation.
Pendergast is a board certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association and has certifications in CPR/AED.
A native of Wetumpka, Ala., Pendergast resides in Oxford with her morkie, Otis.
