Women's Basketball Adds Three More to 2018-19 Staff

Michonné Gamble-Rivers is in her first season as the coordinator of player development on head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin's staff for the 2018-19 season.

Gamble-Rivers previously worked with McPhee-McCuin at Jacksonville as the Director of Player Development during her final two seasons at JU in 2017 and 2018.

"Michonné is a perfect match for the young ladies that are present on our team, as well as the ones that will join the program in the future," McPhee-McCuin said. "She is passionate about the growth of young women and she is a total team player. One of my goals is to equip our student-athletes with the skill and tools for them to be successful, and I am confident that Michonné will help with this."

Prior to her time at Jacksonville, she worked six years at City Neighbors High School in Baltimore, Maryland. While there, she served as a student advisor and the Director of Special Projects. She was also tasked with designing and updating the school's website as a technical support specialist.

She received bachelor's degrees in human development & family studies and business administration from the University of Rhode Island in 2008, and she completed her master's in leadership & learning from Jacksonville in 2018.
