Insell Postgame Quotes

Ole Miss Head Coach Matt Insell

On the game…
“I was proud of the effort and the commitment they made. We gave our kids a game plan, and they executed it well offensively all night. We did a lot better job defensively. In the second half, we got the stop we needed, but just couldn’t get that rebound. We’ll get there, and I’m proud of their effort. It was a great basketball game that we had a chance to win in the end, and we’ll start winning those games.”

On Amber Singletary…
“She turned the game around. We were struggling guarding Jasmine Lister, and then Amber Singletary came in. The 12 minutes she played at the end of the half were amazing. She got after it, and slowed Lister down in transition. It forced them into late shot clock situations, and those are the battles we have to start winning.”

On McFarland and Faleru…
“They were moving and playing active. They are very emotional right now; they wanted to win this game very badly. I’m proud of both of them. If they bring that effort on Sunday, we’ll have success.”
