Insell Postgame Quotes

Ole Miss Head Coach Matt Insell

On the game…
“We as a team aren’t that good offensively when we are passive in transition. We’re we really passive in transition and tried to pitch the ball ahead and that’s not what we do in transition. We push the ball and slice the ball and kinda of let Valencia play out of that and for some reason we didn’t do that tonight. We’ll go back and get better at it, it’s all a part of the process and we have to stay the course.”

On Amber Singletary…
“I asked her to play with toughness and she did. That’s what we’re lacking a little bit on the perimeter, is toughness and she played with toughness  and with her doing that it allowed her to get a lot more minutes than she has been getting and she’ll continue to get those minutes if she plays with toughness. Danielle McCray battled real hard and I’m very excited about her doing that. She’s played well that last two game s and I’m happy with her doing that.”

On Valencia scoring her 1500th career point…
“She’s the key, she the catalyst and she makes us go. When she plays well, we play well. I’m proud of her for accomplishment. She’s deserving of every award and accomplishment she gets. I’m really proud of her. She’s a great kid and a great player.”
