Recap

Ole Miss Head Coach Matt Insell

On the game…
“The first half was the difference in the game. We played a little intimidated offensively in the first half. We got the same shots in the second half as the first, but we were intimidated by their size. They were a lot bigger than us. In the second half, we had a big run to start and played with a lot of fire. We’re preparing for a run in the SEC Tournament. We played one of the better teams in our league that’s ranked in the top 15 in the country. They made more plays than we did, but if we play the first half like the second half, it would have been a different game.”

On who stood out…
“Obviously Tia Faleru and Valencia McFarland were their normal selves. Tia had another double-double and just an unbelievable game. What stood out to me is Kenyotta Jenkins came in and played 27 minutes. She’s not ready for her senior year to end and gave everything she had. She made a lot of things happen that won’t show up on a stat sheet. Danielle McCray gave me everything she had against tough matchups. She works hard every day and that’s something I respect.”
