On the game... "It's a tale of two halves. We came out in the second half, and it was all about our effort. I'm very happy to get this first win under our belts. The kids were nervous. We aren't going to the postseason in November, but every game is important. These kids played hard in the second half."
On the difference in the second half... "Tia Faleru and Valencia McFarland decided they wanted to play. I benched them in the first half. I wasn't worried about the score because there is a mentality you have to have to play for this program and me. After halftime they showed they were all-conference players, which they are. They played like they wanted to and the rest of the team gravitated towards them, and we had a great half.
Take away from the game... "We'll take any win we can get right now. We have to figure out how to take what we did in the second half and bring it to the first half. It's tough playing a full 40 minutes right now, and not a lot of teams can. We have to be able to push through and finish teams off."
