Shandricka Sessom Named to SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team
Feb. 21, 2018

SEC Release

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second straight season, senior guard Shandricka Sessom has been named to the SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team, the conference announced on Wednesday.

This marks the 20th year for the SEC Community Service Team for women's basketball as well as for men's basketball. All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003. The SEC began this concept with a football Community Service Team in 1994.

Sessom, a Preseason Second-Team All-SEC selection and senior exercise science major, played in seven games this season before suffering a year-ending knee injury. She ranks 24th all-time in scoring at Ole Miss with 1,131 career points, and will return in 2018-19. She has earned SEC Honor Roll in each of her first three seasons at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss will host Kentucky tomorrow night (Thurs., Feb. 22), with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT inside The Pavilion at Ole Miss and on SEC Network.
