OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss head women’s basketball coach Matt Insell announced the hiring of Sean Stephenson as the new video coordinator for the Ole Miss women’s basketball team on Wednesday (May 28).
“I’m excited to add Sean, his wife Carol, and their daughter Caroline to the Ole Miss family,” said Insell. “Sean’s passion really stood out to me throughout this process and made him a necessary addition to our program. Sean will be involved heavily in film breakdown of our future opponents. His expertise in this area will help elevate our program from a preparation standpoint.”
Stephenson comes to Oxford from Westview High School in Martin, Tenn., where he served as the head women’s basketball coach for nine seasons. Stephenson led his squad to nine 20-win seasons, including two 30-win seasons.
His squads have advanced to five sub-state appearances including back-to-back appearances in 2013 and 2014. This season, his team advanced to the state final four.
