The Ole Miss women’s basketball team continues its preseason preparations this week. The team has spent quite a bit of time working on pushing the tempo in practice and this week head coach Matt Insell and senior point guard Valencia McFarland represented the Rebels at 2013 SEC Media Day in Birmingham. Mark Your Calendars For Square Jam 2013!
Make sure you’ve got Oct. 25th marked on your schedule for Square Jam 2013. The event will take place on the Square starting at 6:30 p.m., and will serve as the official kick off of the 2013-14 basketball seasons. There will be a game of knockout, a three-point shooting contest, dunk contest and lots of other surprises. We’ll see you at the Square. #1MISSion

SEC Chooses Little Rock For 2015 SEC Championship
The Southeastern Conference announced on Thursday (Oct. 17) that the 2015 SEC Tournament will be in North Little Rock, Ark.,
"The Southeastern Conference and its member institutions are excited to return to a city that has shown tremendous support for SEC women’s basketball," Slive said. "Verizon Arena is a great facility and North Little Rock is an enthusiastic community that is perfect to showcase our women’s basketball programs. We know that our student-athletes, coaches and fans will greatly enjoy a return visit to the area.”
The Verizon Arena will host the women’s tournament for the fourth time, having previously hosted in 2003, 2006 and 2009. Situated in North Little Rock, the Arena first opened in October of 1999, as Alltel Arena and immediately became the focal point for sports and entertainment in Central Arkansas. Known now as Verizon Arena, the facility is publicly owned by the Multi-Purpose Civic Center Facilities Board for Pulaski County.
The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament was previously announced for Nashville in 2018, 2022 and 2026. The league office is currently in the bid process for 2016 and 2017.

Season Tickets on Sale
If you haven’t gotten your season tickets for the 2013-14 season, it’s not too late. Season tickets are on sale and can be purchased for $50. For additional ticket information go to OleMissTix.com or call the Ole Miss Ticket Office at 1-888-REB-TKTS (732-8587).Also make sure to note that Ole Miss’ weekday home games will be a 6 p.m. tip, moving up an hour from last season.
SEC Tournament Tickets On Sale
Make sure you get your SEC Tournament tickets to support the Rebels! Tickets for the 2014 Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament are now on sale. The 2014 SEC Women’s Tournament will be held at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia on March 5-9, 2014. Tickets for the tournament are $100 for a reserved book. A ticket book contains seven tickets, one for each session, which allows one person to attend all 13 games. Tickets can be purchased at www.SECDigitalNetwork.com or by calling (800) 732-4849. Additional information regarding special ticket promotions, including advanced single session ticket sales, will be announced at a later date.
