ORLANDO, Fla. -Kathryn Fowler and Taelor Rubin each fired a 72 to lead Ole Miss on day two of the UCF Challenge at RedTail Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
As a team, Ole Miss moved up one spot on the leaderboard from yesterday as the Rebels are tied for ninth (15-over 591) in the 18-team field. The Rebels finished today one stroke better than Monday, carding a 7-over 295.
"As a team we got better today with our process on the course, still need to be able to do it all 18 holes," head coach Michele Drinkard said. "When we do, I believe we will see some very low numbers from each player. I can see them starting to get that competitive fire back in their eyes now which will help us put it all together tomorrow."
After two days of play, No. 9 North Carolina leads the field with an 11-under 565. Individually, Ericka Schneider is leading Ole Miss with a 3-over 147 after two rounds.
On Tuesday, Fowler tied her career-low with a 72, recording two birdies on the day. Rubin posted four birdies in Tuesday's round to also post a 72.
