Schiavone Continues To Pace Rebels At SEC Championship

Birmingham, Ala. –  Stani Schiavone led the Ole Miss women’s golf team for the second day in a row at the 2013 SEC Women’s Golf Championship at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Ala.

After two rounds of play, Schiavone is in a tie for 10th in the 70-player field after carding a 6-over 78 in today’s round (73-78—151).

Alabama leads the 14-team field (304-293—597) while Crimson Tide golfers Stephanie Meadow (75-69—144) and Jennifer Kirby (75-71—146) lead the field individually. Ole Miss is in 14th after two rounds of play (317-321—638).

Abby Newton turned in a 9-over 81 in today’s round and sits in a tie for 42nd with one round to play.  Alison Hovatter carded a 10-over 82 and is in 61st place.

Ericka Schneider is in a tie for 64th and carded an 8-over 80 in the second round. Kathryn Fowler carded an 11-over 83 and is in 70th.

The third and final round will tee off at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. Fans can follow live scoring at
