Rebels End Season At NCAA Regionals

AUBURN, Ala. – The Ole Miss women’s golf team’s 2102-13 season came to an end Saturday in the final round of the NCAA East Regional hosted by Auburn at the Auburn University Club.

The Rebels finished 18th in the 24-team field carding a 46-over 910 (299-308-303—910). Alabama won the Regional carding a 20-under 844. 

The top eight finishers in the field which include, Alabama, Tulane, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Texas, Northwestern, UCLA and Auburn all advance to the NCAA Championship.

Abby Newton (74-77-75—226) and Ericka Schneider (75-75-76—226) were the top finishers for Ole Miss, finishing in a tie for 66th.

Taelor Rubin carded her best round of the tournament today, carding a three-over 75 to finish the tournament in 73rd (76-77-75—228).  Stani Schiavone carded a 6-over 78 today to end in 85th place (74-79-78—231) while Alison Hovatter finished in 105th place (79-81-77—237).
