OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Lady Rebel golf team holds a one-shot lead after day one of the 2000 Lady Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford. The Lady Rebels tallied a score of 305 to lead the tournament. Central Florida is one-shot back with a score of 306.

Elizabeth Hoffman, a junior from Houston, Texas, carded a career-best 72 to lead the Lady Rebels. Teresa Brown shot a 76 in the first round, while Bernadette Luse had a first round score of 77. Kerrie Davis carded an 80 and Lori Cate scored an 82 for the Lady Rebels.

In individual play, Marci Kornegay led individual scoring with a first round score of 79. Brooke Smith carded a first round score of 80, while Teesha Ash scored a 91. Roiann Boisture had a first round score of 94.

The second round of the tournament will be played tomorrow with the final round to be played on Sunday.
