Lady Rebels Grab Second Place In First Round Of Pat Bradley Championship Three Lady Rebels In Top 10 After First Day Of Play
Laura Evans, half of the freshman duo, finished tied for ninth with fellow newcomer Sarah Kate Cousart at the first round of the Pat Bradley Championship.

Ole Miss used strong play from its underclassmen on Friday, combined with the solid performance from team captain Bernadette Luse to grab second place in the first round of the Pat Bradley Championship with a score of 307.
The Lady Rebels trail South Florida by 11 strokes after the first day of competition on the par-72, 5,689-yard course.
Sophomore Nikki Hadd turned in the best performance of the day for any Lady Rebel, finishing the round tied for fifth overall with a score of 75 after the first day. Freshmen Sarah Kate Cousart and Laura Evans shared the ninth-place spot as both Lady Rebels carded first round scores of 77.
Team captain Bernadette Luse, one of two seniors competing in the event for Ole Miss, ended the first round of competition sitting in a tie for the No. 11 spot overall with a first round total of 78. Senior Kerrie Davis fired an 82 on the first day to take a tie for the No. 32 spot.
Sophomore Brooke Hixon competed at the tournament as an individual, firing an 82 in the first round to finish tied with teammate Davis in the No. 32 spot.
Play will continue on Saturday when the second round of the tournament will tee off at 7:30 a.m. EST.
