OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss women’s golf team will host a College AM on April 4 at the Ole Miss Golf Course, one day before the Rebels host the 18-team M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate April 5-7.
The annual College AM allows for fans, friends, alumni, businesses and the community to support the Ole Miss women’s golf program. Proceeds from the College AM benefit the women’s golf program and participants will also get a chance to play with some of the top golfers in the nation.
In addition, Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze and former Ole Miss golfers and current LPGA members Dori Carter and Haley Millsap are scheduled to play in the Colleg AM.
“We are excited about hosting the College AM as part of the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate,” head coach Michele Drinkard said. “The College AM helps our program tremendously. The support we get from the College AM helps build our program and helps us reach our goals. Our team would like to encourage all golfers to sign up for this great event to help support our program and for the chance to win some great prizes.”
A complementary lunch starts at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The winning team “Net&Gross” will receive personalized Ole Miss team golf bags. In addition, Cannon Motor Company is sponsoring a Hole-In-One Car and there.
Participants will have the chance to win prizes for the longest drive on two holes and closest to the pin prizes on four holes.
To sign up, visit the women’s golf page at OleMissSports.com and click on the M&F Bank graphic or call Janell Howland at 662-816-5011.
