Complete List of Regions

OXFORD, Miss.  — The Ole Miss women’s golf team has been selected for its fifth-consecutive NCAA Women’s Golf Regional and will play in the East Regional hosted by Auburn May 9-11.

This year’s appearance marks the ninth NCAA appearance in Ole Miss history.  The Rebels are one of 12 SEC teams to make one of the three regional tournaments this year.

It also marks the seventh trip for head coach Michele Drinkard as a head coach, as she took Birmingham Southern to the NCAA East Regional and the NCAA Central Regional before taking over at Ole Miss.

“It’s rewarding to hear our name called tonight to play in the NCAA Tournament,”Drinkard said.  “I’m proud of this team and how we have battled through the season to give ourselves this opportunity.  Now the fun begins, we can let go, play freely and play aggressively.  I’m sure the team feels the same as I do, we can't wait to get these exams finished and start the post season.”

Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 9-11 to determine the championships field. Regional tournaments are considered preliminary rounds of NCAA championships competition, and all national championships policies apply.

A total of 378 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.

The championships finals will be held May 21-24 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga. and will be hosted by Georgia.
