Rebels Add NAIA All-American Diane Lim to Roster
June 19, 2017

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women’s golf head coach Kory Henkes announced the signing of junior Diane Lim Monday afternoon.

Lim comes to Oxford from the College of Coastal Georgia, where she was named an NAIA First-Team All-American as a freshman, as well as the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Henkes is anxious to see what the Suwanee, Georgia native will bring to the clubhouse this fall.

“We are thrilled about the addition of Diane to our team this fall,” Henkes said. “She has a lot of tournament experience and will make an immediate impact in our lineup.  Diane is a hard worker and a player who knows how to win at the collegiate level. We are looking forward to helping Diane grow and take her game to the next level while at Ole Miss.”

Lim set the school record, averaging 73.89 over 18 holes during her stellar freshman campaign. She captured a school-record four tournament wins, including three victories in a row, and finished third or better in eight of her nine appearances.

She finished second at the SSAC tournament and was named All-Conference, Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year. She also earned a trip to the NAIA Championship, where she tied for ninth individually.

Lim returned to Coastal Georgia for the fall of her sophomore campaign and strung together consecutive wins in the Sand Shark Shootout and Thomas University Invitational, the fifth and sixth individual medalist honors of her collegiate career. She left Coastal Georgia having finished ninth or better in every event with an average finish of 2.6.

“I'm extremely humbled and excited to become a Rebel this fall,” Lim said. “I can't wait to see what the next two years will bring, and I want to thank Kory and Drew for the opportunity to play for such a great team.”

Lim joins freshmen Conner Beth Ball (Madison, Miss./Jackson Academy), Julia Johnson (St. Gabriel, La./Math, Science and Arts Academy) and Macy Holliday (Dallas, Texas/Trinity Christian Academy) for Ole Miss’ 2017 class.
