Pi-Lillebi Hermansson Named WGCA All-American Scholar
July 5, 2018

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Pi-Lillebi Hermansson was named an All-American Scholar by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association for the second straight year Tuesday.

The Djursholm, Sweden native was one of 1,011 student-athletes selected across three divisions. The WGCA’s All-American Scholar criteria are some of the most rigorous in collegiate athletics, requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Hermansson marks the fifth selection in three seasons for head coach Kory Henkes’ Rebels.

A rising junior, Hermansson was recently named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll, the second straight season she has made the conference’s honor roll. She also has earned a spot on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll all four semesters at Ole Miss, as well a Student-Athlete of the Month selection in December 2017.

A psychology major with a French minor, Hermansson also put together a terrific season on the course with a 75.2 18-hole stroke average. She tallied two top-10 finishes and one top-five, helping the Rebels win three team tournament titles and the first NCAA Championship berth in program history. Her season also included a personal-best finish, 18-hole score, 54-hole score, single-round birdie total and tournament birdie total.
