Rifle Concludes Withrow Invitational Team Shoots 4623 Aggregate
Jan. 26, 2014
MURRAY, Ky. – The No. 12 ranked Ole Miss rifle team went into the Withrow Invitational looking to continue momentum from a season high score last weekend at home, but they came up a little short of what they wanted to shoot at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range. The Rebels posted an aggregate of 4623 and stand in sixth with some teams still to shoot.
“The team and I really expected more out of our performance today,” head coach Valerie Boothe said. “It was an okay day, but we know that we are capable of so much more. Freshman, Alison Weisz was a key component today.”
Speaking of Weisz, the Montana native led the squad again in air rifle with a 588. She shot a team-leading 574 in smallbore to finish with a total aggregate of 1162.
Ole Miss will be back in action Feb. 5 at GARC opponent Memphis.
