Oct. 26, 2012

OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 9 ranked Ole Miss rifle team travels to Murray, Ky., this weekend for matches against fourth-ranked Jacksonville State and 10th-ranked Murray State. Both contests will be held at the Pat Spurgin Range.

The Rebels placed third in their first two events of the season and are coming off a 4641-4621 loss to sixth-ranked Nebraska last weekend. Senior Kim Coffey shot a career-best 580 in smallbore against Nebraska.

"Obviously we were disappointed with our performance last weekend, but the girls have been working hard in practice," head coach Valerie Boothe said. "We are ready for the challenge and I look for us to do well this weekend."

The Racers are coming off a pair of losses to top-5 teams last weekend when they fell to No. 3 Kentucky 4676-4615 and to No. 4 Army 4650-4620.
