OXFORD, Miss. - Incoming freshmen Sara Coleman (Laurel, Miss.) and Olivia Harrison (Collierville, Tenn.) have been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Mississippi and Tennessee, respectively.

"We are thrilled for Sara and Olivia to be named Gatorade Players of the Year for their respective states," third-year head coach Matt Mott said. "It is a tremendous honor, one they should both be very proud of. It speaks to their hard work and dedication to becoming the best players they can. I am looking forward to their future here at Ole Miss."

Coleman, who attended West Jones High School, is a 5-4 midfielder.  This past season, she scored 33 goals and added 21 assists to lead the Mustangs to the 5A State Championship game.  For her career, Coleman is a four-time First Team All-State honoree and was named Miss Soccer by the Clarion-Ledger. This summer, she is playing for the Fuego (Jackson, Miss.) in the Women's Premier Soccer League.

Harrison, attended Houston High School in Collierville, Tenn., is a 5-8 forward.  She is a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American and a two-time State Player of the Year as named by the Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association.  For her career, Harrison scored 106 goals and recorded 65 assists while leading her team to state titles in 2009 and 2010.  As a senior, she led her team to an 18-3-2 record while recording 31 goals and 15 assists.
