Ole Miss is off to a perfect start after weekend wins over Northwestern State and Middle Tennessee. The Rebels are 2-0 start for the third straight year and outscored their first two opponents 11-1.
Sophomore forward Brittney Potts turned in her first career hat trick in the season-opening 7-0 win over Northwestern State, while senior forward Karen Hall added two more goals.
Junior forward Kelly Renie led the way in the 4-1 triumph over Middle Tennessee with her seventh career multiple-goal effort. It marked Renie's first two goals since suffering a season-ending ACL tear in last year's second match.
Redshirt freshman Ann Shelton collected six saves in earning her first two collegiate victories in goal.
The Rebels put their undefeated record on the line against regional rival Memphis, who returns 17 letterwinners and seven starters from last year's 5-10-3 squad. The Tigers opened the campaign with a 4-0 triumph at Alabama A&M Sunday.
Ole Miss enjoys a 4-1-1 all-time edge against Memphis, and prevailed 7-0 in last year's bout in Oxford.
