Complete All-Southeast Region Teams

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss midfielder CeCe Kizer continues to rack up postseason accolades, earning United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Southeastern Region honors, announced Monday by the organization.

A junior from Overland Park, Kansas, Kizer put together one of the greatest goal scoring seasons in Ole Miss history. Finishing the regular season with 16 goals, she ranked second in the nation in total goals, leading the SEC by two scores ahead of Tennessee’s Khadija Shaw.

The midfielder proved to be far more than just a goal scorer, ranking second on the team with seven assists on the year. In all, Kizer concluded the regular season ranking second in the nation with 39 total points.

Kizer’s 16 goals and 39 points in 2017 both tied for the fourth most in a single season in the history of Rebel soccer. The production is nothing new for the junior, she currently ranks fifth all-time in career goals at 35, while her 84 career points is good for sixth in program history.

The SEC dominated the selections for the region, with 11 of the 17 honorees on the first team coming from the conference. Across the three USC All-Southeast Region teams, 28 of the 51 total selections came from the SEC.
