OXFORD, Miss. - Ten Rebel student-athletes were among the 154 Ole Miss students selected to the 2011-12 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for the University of Mississippi.

Each year the University of Mississippi, along with numerous other colleges and universities, honors those students who have made significant contributions to their campus in the area of scholarship, leadership, and student activities by selecting them to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

The Rebels on the list includes two All-Americans in volleyball senior Regina Thomas and men's tennis senior Marcel Thiemann.  Softball placed two on the list with Amanda Hutcheson and Corrine Doornberg.  Track and field also had two on the list with seniors Logan Waites and Kristin Bridges.  Women's golf senior Haley Millsap, women's tennis senior Gabby Rangel, soccer senior Jenna Strother and football player Devin Thomas round out the student-athletes on the list.

"This type of honor shows how well-rounded our student-athletes are.  They work very hard at their sport and in the classroom.  We are proud they are Rebels," said executive associate athletics director, Lynnette Johnson.

The students will be recognized in an induction ceremony at 4 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on the Oxford campus.
