OXFORD, Miss.— The Ole Miss softball staff has announced the 2015-16 camp schedule. There will be 10 opportunities for softball players of all ages to hone their skills over the next few months.

“At the camps at Ole Miss we are trying to keep the numbers down and the coach-to-player ratio small,” camps coordinator Katie Rietkovich said. “We want to focus on instruction so we can provide the athletes who attend our camps the best quality experience so they can take something home and become a better player.”

The first opportunity to participate in an Ole Miss softball camp is Oct. 12, which will be the beginning of a four-part hitting instruction camp. The cost to attend each session independently is $50, or players can attend all four sessions for $180.

October 18 there will be an advanced hitting academy where instructors will help campers take an in-depth look at becoming a powerful hitter. Cost to attend the day camp is $85 and is for ages 13-18.

Also on Sunday Oct. 18, the staff will offer a Little Rebels Camp for player’s ages 6-10. The cost will be $70.

As the winter approaches and fall chill hits Oxford, the camps will continue to heat up with a Nov. 29 All Skills clinic. Pricing for players ranging from ages 13-18 varies.

Around the holidays, Ole Miss will offer a Christmas Elite Skills camp and a Winter Elite Skills Camp. The first opportunity for the two-day clinic is Dec. 19-20 with a second clinic Jan. 9-10. This clinic will offer instruction on all areas for $295 and serve players from seventh grade to their second year in junior college.

The final camp opportunity comes January 17. This clinic is specifically for pitchers and catchers. Cost to attend is $100 for campers in middle and high school.
