LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Ole Miss women’s tennis team earned two victories on Sunday in singles against Arkansas to conclude play at the inaugural Country Club of Little Rock Collegiate Invitational.

The Rebels finished the weekend with 12 wins in singles and doubles against players from Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Arkansas.  They were scheduled to play doubles versus Texas Tech Sunday morning, but rain canceled the matches.  Instead, the Rebels played six singles matches against Arkansas.

Junior Caroline Rohde-Moe, ranked No. 55 in the nation, downed UA’s Yang Pang 6-3, 6-0 and sophomore Julia Jones defeated McLean 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Rohde-Moe improved to a team-leading 5-2 on the year.

Both sophomore Erin Stephens and freshman Marija Milutinovic went three sets before losing their matches.  Stephens lost 6-4 in the third to Claudine Paulson, as did Milutinovic to Anna Lorena Belmar Hernandez.

The Rebels will continue the fall season with the Riviera ITA All-American Championships in California, beginning Sept. 29 with the prequalifying tournament.
