Rebel Duo Books Place in Final Four at ITA Fall Championships

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – They needed three sets to get by their first two opponents, but on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles rolled into the semifinals with a straight set win against Eudice Chong and Victoria Yu of Wesleyan-CT.

Hartono/Bortles march into semifinals…
Hartono and Bortles (7-3) earned an early break in the first set and led 3-0. They got broke, but broke twice more to close out the set 6-2. The Wesleyan duo broke to start the second set, but Hartono and Bortles broke right back and cruised from there for 6-2.  

The will face Paige Hourigan and Kenya Jones of Georgia Tech Saturday.

Hartono/Bortles (OM) def. Chong/Yu (Wesleyan-CT) 6-2, 6-2
